Seniors graduating in May, August, or December 2023 are invited to apply for the College of Agricultural Sciences Outstanding Senior Award by noon on Friday, April 21, 2023. The winner will be honored by the Ag Alumni Society.
The Coaly Society is currently accepting applications for this year's College of Agricultural Sciences Outstanding Senior Award. This award is based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, work experiences, and contributions to Penn State and the College of Agricultural Sciences. All applicants must be enrolled in a major offered by the College of Agricultural Sciences and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20.
Applications may be requested by emailing Debbie Heeman in the Office for Undergraduate Education at dah54@psu.edu. The deadline to return completed applications via email is at 12 noon, Friday, April 21, 2023.
Applicants must submit a one or two page (maximum) resume outlining their educational, extracurricular, and employment experiences and honors/awards, answers to three questions, and a signed transcript release form. A selection committee of three industry and academic professionals will select finalists to be interviewed. The interviews are tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 24, 2023, by Zoom; this date may change slightly depending on availability of the judges. This year's recipient will be named based on both application materials and the personal interview. The College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Society sponsors this award and formally honors the winner with the cooperation of Coaly Society.
