Undergraduate students are invited to change the world through engagement and education with schoolchildren. Outdoor School at Shaver's Creek is a 2-credit Gen Ed (GHW) course and leadership experience teaching young people about the natural world.

Outdoor School (www.shaverscreek.org/ODS) is for everyone and no prior knowledge, experience, or equipment is needed!

You are invited to apply to be a Counselor for our environmental education program and spend a week alongside your PSU peers and a bunch of fun-loving 5th graders! Your role is helping students during lessons and mealtimes, leading fun activities, and staying overnight in the cabin with your cabin group.

You can earn 2 GHW credits via RPTM or SCIED, 75 community service hours, and gain hands-on experience in leadership and teaching.

It’s a great time away from campus, with like-minded people, and delicious meals! If you enjoy experiences with youth and community, teaching in and about the outdoors, and generally spending time outside Outdoor School is for you! Apply by September 7th!
