Deadline to apply for the 2025-26 Academic Year is May 31, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.

The Mountain Lake Vegetation Management Council (MLVMC) announces the fourth annual scholarship program. Under the program, two (2) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students attending a college or university in the Mid-Atlantic region majoring in Forestry, Horticulture, Environmental Studies, or related field. The Mid-Atlantic region consists of the following states: Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee.

Program Guidelines & Priorities:

  • Undergraduate students with a record of volunteerism in the community in non-school sponsored activities and participation in extracurricular school activities.
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college or technical school.

The applications will be reviewed in June/July 2025, and recipients selected by the Mountain Lake Vegetation Management Council members with award announcements and payments made in July/August 2025. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college and not to the student.
