Are you considering going to graduate school in the biological sciences? Are you interested in careers in education, industry, or government agencies? Would you like to be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift card from Amazon?

Then please join us for the virtual symposium on Friday, March 31, 2023, from 9:00 am-1:30pm for the INSSECT NET Careers Symposium!

This symposium will feature five alumni from the Penn State Entomology Graduate Program. These alumni have exciting careers in government, K-12 education, industry, and academia. Our speakers will talk about their experiences in transitioning from undergraduate studies, to graduate school, to these different careers during the morning session, and then be available to answer your questions during breakout sessions in the afternoon.

Additionally, for our undergraduate participants, we will have presentations about the Entomology and Ecology graduate programs at Penn State, and the Summer Research Opportunities Program. Undergraduates who join for the symposium and complete a survey will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card as well!

The agenda is available here and registration is required and can be completed here.

This program is a joint collaboration between Penn State, Central State University, Chowan University, and University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, and is supported by funding from the Sloan Foundation.
