From 12:00-4:00 p.m. EST in room 233 AB of the HUB-Robeson Center at Penn State University Park

It would be a privilege to have you attend a part of this event to share your expertise in a field relevant to Pennsylvania agriculture as we prepare to launch a new programming initiative, the Penn State Farmer Partnership program, to improve student-professional relationships for the resilience of the Pennsylvania agricultural community.

The summit will focus on three key issues that Pennsylvania farmers face:
• The increase of farm stress within small family farms and farm communities
• The effects of the global food market’s volatility on Pennsylvania farmers
• The need to improve relations between local producers and Penn State University regarding building stronger localized food systems

Our goal is to bring together student leaders, distinguished faculty from all the university’s academic colleges, and university administrators to contribute their knowledge and expertise to these roundtable discussions. The University Park Undergraduate Association understands the importance of building student interest in agriculture for the long-term socioeconomic benefit of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and we strongly believe that it is the duty of Penn State University, a land grant institution founded as an agricultural school, to ensure the resilience of Pennsylvania agriculture.

We would greatly appreciate your participation in this event to showcase your organization’s amazing work and to demonstrate dedication to young individuals interested in the fields of agriculture and food systems.

Please RSVP via our registration form. We hope to see you there!
