The Sustainability Institute and University Park Undergraduate Association will be hosting an Inaugural Sustainability Summit, during which we will be hosting A.Y. Young- the youth ambassador to the United Nations- and facilitating round-table discussions with faculty, staff, and student leaders.

The Sustainability Institute is partnering with the University Park Undergraduate Association to host an Inaugural Sustainability Summit. Join us for an evening of celebrations, meaningful discussions, and collaboration on Thursday, April 13th from 6-9 pm. The keynote speaker for the evening will be AY Young, United Nations Youth Ambassador.

The Sustainability Summit was borne out of a desire to convene the Penn State community around sustainability. The reality is that sustainability is happening in all spaces and corners of university, but we are not always aware of what each other is doing. The Sustainability Summit aims to bridge these knowledge gaps, make connections, and harness synergies. Different student, faculty, and community members will be invited to have the opportunity to talk about the current projects they are focusing on and identify potential collaborations with other groups working towards similar goals. The event will culminate in a sustainability action conversation, which will feature sustainability champions and administration alike to talk about next steps to achieve Penn State’s sustainability goals. Following this conversation, participants should walk out on the same page of how we can achieve a sustainable future.

This is an opportunity to bring together the community, celebrate Penn State's progress, relay information, and inspire action surrounding sustainability.

Plan to be there and let us know you are coming by filling out the RSVP form, we would sincerely appreciate your attendance and input!
