Learn about carbon mitigation for study abroad and join in a project to lower your carbon emissions during this fun event!
Please join Ag Sciences Global for Global Sustainability Action Day on April 15!
This is an opportunity to join with other Education Abroad and International students to learn more about global sustainability and to take action to mitigate your personal climate impact. We will be partnering with Penn State Global and the Penn State Sustainability Institute, and you will have the chance to serve as Tailgate Ambassadors before the Blue-White Game while helping educate folks about recycling and sustainable tailgating at Penn State (alternative service opportunities will be available-details forthcoming). Participation is capped at 150 students, so make sure to sign up now here!
Sustainability Action Day Schedule:
- 8:45-9:00 am - Welcome, Coffee, Snacks
- 9:00-9:45 am - Global Sustainability Presentation & Discussion
- 9:45-10:00 am - Tailgate Ambassador Training
- 10:00 am-12:00 noon - Tailgate Ambassador (or alternative service)
- 12:00 noon - Turn in Tailgate Ambassador materials at the Global Sustainability Tailgate at the Sustainability Experience Center
Whether you can join us in the morning or not, please to come to the Global Sustainability Tailgate at the Penn State Sustainability Experience Center (SEC - across from BJC on the other side of Porter Road)! Hang out with other globally-minded students and tour the SEC and Penn State Community Gardens before heading over to the Blue-White game. There is no attendance cap on the tailgate, but please let us know whether you plan to come so that we can order enough food!
