INTAG 300: Tropical Agriculture and Food Systems and optional travel to Florida over winter break!
This course fulfills the IL Gen Ed requirement and can be used toward the International Ag Minor degree requirements.
- Explore tropical food systems and farming systems across the world in this 3 credit Fall semester course.
- Optional post-class trip from Jan. 2 - 9, 2022 to ECHO in Florida where students will see many different tropical crops and animals and study innovations for smallholders in different ecoregions of the Tropics.
- Includes a visit to a project in Florida with Cultivating Abundance among training with immigrant communities about fruit and vegetable back yard gardens for improved nutrition.
