McNair is a federal TRIO grant program funded by the U. S. Department of Education and is designed to provide disadvantaged undergraduate college students with effective preparation for doctoral study.
Eligibility requirements include:
- U. S. citizen or permanent resident
- low-income undergraduate who is also first-generation and/or an underrepresented minority student
- full-time undergraduate student in a bachelor's degree program at University Park
- sophomore or junior standing
- 3.00 or higher cumulative GPA
