Within the College of Agricultural Sciences, we have a fantastic group of Academic Advisers that work tirelessly to serve the students. This group of individuals are passionate about our college, the majors they work with, and you the students! They are the people that keep you on track and they need to be recognized by you. Your voice matters and we want to hear from you!

Dedicated academic advisers support students as they navigate through good times and hard times and ultimately help students chart a path to get to their destination. Deeply committed to the success of all students, advisers keep students on track to graduate on time, offer a counsel to navigate through challenges, and provide support to help students realize their greatest ambitions. They are true champions for students and deserve recognition.

The College of Ag Sciences wishes to recognize outstanding advisers through the Community of Advising Excellence Award. As students, your voice matters and we need your help.

  • Has your Academic Adviser been someone that you go to, not only for academic assistance, but for guidance beyond your courses?
  • Has your Academic Adviser shown evidence of outstanding service to students?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you!

Nominees will be evaluated based on effective advising qualities that distinguish the nominee as an excellent academic adviser.

Submit a nomination for the Community of Advising Excellence Award no later than Friday, February 9, 2024.

If you have any questions, please contact Matt Stumpf, Director of Academic Advising, at mstumpf@psu.edu.
