Penn State Block and Bridle is the premier livestock and horse club on campus.
Club meetings are held the first and third Thursday of each month in 101 ASI Building at 7PM.
Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and majors but have one thing in common - a true advocacy and love for the animal sciences industry. We focus on four species: beef, horses, sheep, and swine. The activities that we take part in throughout the year consist of educational, service, and social events. Some events that we host consist of the Rumble in the Valley sheep show, the 4-H and FFA Spring Judging Contest, and the Little International Showmanship Show. We also have some unique service activities such as a blood drive, a crop walk 5K, and bottling blood for bats at the Pittsburgh Zoo.
Established in 1924, we are also among the oldest members of the national Block and Bridle organization. They host an annual convention where our members can travel to and explore different segments of the animal sciences industry!
