The 2026 Pennsylvania School for Excellence in the Agricultural Sciences will be hosted by the College of Agricultural Sciences at the Penn State University Park Campus, we are offering applicants a choice between two two-week sessions, Session 1: TBA; Session 2: TBA. Applicants may rank their preference of session, only one session will be awarded per participant. Notification for selection for the program will be on March 27, 2026, so applicants may plan their summers accordingly.
Tuition, room, board, instructional materials, and costs of program activities are provided free of charge to students who are selected to participate.
The Pennsylvania School for Excellence in the Agricultural Sciences, an affiliate of the National Conference of Governor's Schools, will be hosted by the College of Agricultural Sciences at the Penn State University Park Campus. Apply before February 27, 2026.
PSEAS will host 2 2-week sessions of outstanding experiences, a tradition grown from the roots of the program, formally known as the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Agricultural Sciences.
The Pennsylvania School for Excellence in the Agricultural Sciences (PSEAS) has deep roots, blooming out of what was formerly known as the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Agricultural Sciences.
Students will explore the breadth of agricultural sciences at Penn State.
In each session, scholars will participate in a special project that will explore research-based principles to a food, agricultural or natural resource issue, situation, and/or problem. There will be a service component in this project.
With so many opportunities at the School for Excellence, we want to make sure you have all the information you need as you prepare to come to Penn State for PSEAS 2026!
An important aspect of the program is the evaluation of students by the faculty and staff, and the evaluation of the program by the students, staff, and faculty.
