Research Initiatives Associate
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Institute for Sustainable Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Science is seeking a motivated professional to serve as a facilitator and enabler of faculty efforts to enhance the research portfolio of this newly formed, multidisciplinary institute. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of the institute to set priorities, design, and implement research initiatives that establish the research trajectory for the institute. This position proactively interfaces and maintains collaborative relationship with individuals at multiple levels of the organization, including interactions within Penn State institutes, centers, and colleges as well as external stakeholders.
Administrative Support Coordinator 4
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Institute for Sustainable Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Science is seeking an office manager to coordinate the financial and administrative operations of the institute, providing support for the research, outreach, and education programs under the institute. The successful candidate will directly support the institute director as well as the associate directors of the institute when directed and will serve as an important point of contact for the affiliated faculty members, students, alumni, and extension staff as well as government personnel and external stakeholders who serve as advisors on research and outreach projects.
Program Financial Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Institute for Sustainable Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Science (SAFES) is seeking a Program Financial Assistant to manage and handle grants and contracts from federal, state and local agencies, private corporations, and foundations that are administered through the institute as well as assist with the day-to-day financial operations of the institute. The successful candidate will directly support the Administrative Support Coordinator and Institute Director as well as the associate directors of the institute when directed, assisting with all financial aspects of SAFES. This position requires regular coordination with the College of Agricultural Sciences Administrative Services and the Office for Grants and Contracts.
