The Ag Translation Network (ATN) is a collaborative ecosystem designed to accelerate the commercialization of agricultural technology.
The vision of a fully connected Research and Extension Center (REC) based AgTranslation Network across the northeast region
Rather than developing solutions in a vacuum, the network integrates producer feedback at every stage of the research and development process. By uniting Penn State's academic rigor with on-farm field trials and industry expertise, the network translates early-stage robotics, AI, and precision ag concepts into market-ready tools that drive profitability and resilience.
The ATN is made up of two subcommittees, each directed to advise most specifically on activities aligned with research and extension carried out at Penn State's Research and Extension Centers. Current representatives of the AgTranslation Network are:
