Findleys create endowment to defray professional conference travel expenses for students in the Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology Department

Dennis S. and Jimmie H. Findley pledged $25,000 to create the "Dennis and Jimmie Findley Program Support Endowment for Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology." Having spent the bulk of his career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Dennis Findley, a 1958 graduate in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology, saw firsthand the importance of students gaining exposure and insight into industry prior to graduating from college. With that idea in mind, Dennis and Jimmie created their endowment to assist with travel expenses for students in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology to attend professional conferences.
