Albert and Ellen Jarrett pledged $50,000 to create the "Albert and Ellen Jarrett Scholarship for Biological Engineering Students." This scholarship will provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduates majoring in the Natural Resources Engineering option of the Biological Engineering major. Albert Jarrett, professor of agricultural engineering, earned his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from Penn State in 1968, 1970 and 1975, respectively. His dedication to students was recognized in 2003 when he received the Milton S. Eisenhower Award for Distinguished Teaching.
