This program centers on applied research in grape disease management with emphasis on improving the sustainability of grape growing in Pennsylvania.

The plant pathology program at the Lake Erie Regional Grape Research and Extension Center focuses on applied research in various areas of grape disease management. Our current emphasis is on developing programs that improve the sustainability of grape growing in Pennsylvania. Research is specifically directed at exploring, testing, developing, and integrating low impact cultural, chemical, and biological means of controlling grape diseases.

Plant Pathology research is conducted by Bryan Hed, Research Assistant at the center.

The research center is also used by graduate students in the Department of Plant Pathology for field trials relating to their thesis work.
