Freshman Clayton Wagner, AgriBus, is up early most mornings to check in on Penn State's beef cattle at Haller Farm.
Located six miles from Ag Hill, the 200-acre farm houses 200 head of Angus and crossbred beef cattle. Beef animals are used for education as well as genetics, nutrition, and forage research. About 75 percent of the Haller beef calves born each year are marketed to meat processors.
