Regularly restarting our computers is a foundational component of good cyber hygiene. However, restarting is something that is often an “I’ll do that later” task. Ag IT recommends restarting your computers at the end of every work week and we want to help make remembering to do it as easy as possible.
Ag IT has created a BigFix offer to opt-in to our Automatic Restart Program
By accepting the offer, your computer will automatically restart every Saturday morning between 1:00 AM – 6:00 AM when it is powered on and connected to a wired or wireless network. How easy is that? And if at any time you want to remove your computer from the Automatic Restart Program, an opt-out offer will be available in your computer’s BigFix self-service application.
Please be sure to save your work prior to leaving on Friday. The automatic restart will occur even if you, or another user, is logged into the computer.
