Opt-In Automatic Weekly Computer Restarts

Ag IT has an Opt-In computer restart program that can be used by anyone wishing to have their computer(s) automatically restarted once a week (Saturday mornings between 1:00 and 6:00 AM). To enroll a computer in the program, follow the instructions below.

Enroll a Computer for Automatic Weekly Restarts

  1. In the System Tray (bottom right corner by the clock), click the Big Fix (b) icon. If you do not see the icon, click the ^ to expand the system tray.

  2. From the Big Fix Self-Service Application, click the Opt-In to Automatically Restart Computer Saturday Morning

  3. Click the Get button to accept the offer.

  4. Once you see the Completed message at the bottom of the window, you can click the X to close the Self-Service application.

  5. You can repeat these steps on additional PCs that you wish to enroll in the restart program.

Unenroll a Computer From Automatic Weekly Restarts

If you no longer wish to have a computer restarted automatically, it is easy to unenroll from the program using the instructions below.

  1. In the System Tray (bottom right corner by the clock), click the Big Fix (b).

  2. From the Big Fix Self-Service Application, click the Opt-Out of Automatic Restarts for this computer.

  3. Click the Get button to accept the offer.

  4. Once you see the Completed message at the bottom of the window, you can click the X to close the Self-Service application.

  5. You can repeat these steps on additional PCs that you wish to unenroll from the restart program.
