THEATRE OF THE OPPRESSED—join us! A participatory theatre program to explore issues of immigration

When September 19, 2020 2:00 PM to November 7, 2020 4:00 PM
Where To Be Announced

Would you like to participate in a form of community-based education that uses theater as a tool for individual and social change? Would you like to work with others to explore issues and challenges of immigration? Local non-profit Ridgelines Language Arts and Teaching Artist Érika Anseloni invite you to join us for an 8-week program called Theatre of the Oppressed (T.O.). Érika’s T.O. workshop will welcome a diversity of people who are interested in exploring the challenges of immigration. Together we will critically assess the issues faced by immigrants and refugees, discover common concerns and shared feelings in a safe space, and find strength in developing community, empathy, and self-connection. Our explorations will culminate in an informal theatre project highlighting the stories of immigrants and refugees.
