  • Assistant Director, College Relations Office

Mary Seaton is the Assistant Director of College Relations in the College of Ag Sciences at Penn State.  She joined the college in 2006.  In addition to external relations, one of her many responsibilities includes leading the Office of Conferences and Short Courses, which she has helped transformed into a highly productive central service unit for college faculty and staff. She has over 20 years of experience developing, implementing, and managing programs and events. 

Mary started her career in hotel and restaurant management, working for 15 years in the service industry.  Building on her knowledge of event operations in hotels and restaurants, Mary took her first Penn State position as Event Coordinator at the Hintz Family Alumni Center in 2001, supporting over 700 alumni and university events each year.  Mary then took on additional responsibilities for the Penn State Alumni Association was promoted to the Assistant Director of Alumni Events.

In addition to working at Penn State, Mary is a proud Penn Stater.

  • Conference Planner

Naomi joined the Office of Conferences and Short Courses as a Conference Coordinator in November 2018. Prior to this, she was the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, where she led the planning and implementation of high visibility and high-quality alumni events as well as alumni/student activities to engage 31,000 active alumni in support of the College's strategic initiatives. Naomi previously worked at the Penn State Alumni Association developing and executing comprehensive volunteer service initiatives for alumni group volunteer leaders as well as numerous Penn State University level awards and recognition programs. She has experience with programs on-campus, off-campus, and out of state that range in size and scope from 12 to 1,000.

  • Financial Assistant

Maureen joined Penn State in January 2014 as a Financial Assistant with Penn State Extension assisting the County Offices with wage payroll. Staying with the College of Agricultural Sciences she joined the Office of Conferences and Short Courses as a Financial Assistant 4 in March 2017 and is responsible for all the financial transactions through the office. Prior to working at Penn State, Maureen worked for several years with a large construction company in their payroll department with financial responsibility for more than 1,400 employees weekly. She is originally from Dublin, Ireland and has many years of experience in the both accounting and banking.
