What's the Ag Springboard experience all about?
Ag Springboard is a student pitch competition in the agricultural sciences with a $7,500 grand prize and $2,500 second prize.
Pitch an idea for a new business or non-profit venture. You can lead a team, or sign up to help on a team.
Either way: Register by February 15. Click the REGISTER button on the E&I home page. OR: Email Dr. Mark Gagnon.
Watch finalists from 2017 describe their Ag Springboard experience:
What You Get
- Coaching and team support to pitch an idea.
- A chance to stand out and help you land the right internship or job.
- Build your resume and have a compelling story for employers about your experience.
- Learn how to pitch your ideas -- a valuable skill for any future career.

How it Works
• Lead a team or join a team.
• Venture ideas must be in food, agriculture, bio-renewables, community or sustainability.
• All Penn State students are eligible. Teams of 2-5 students must include a student in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
• REGISTER YOUR TEAM BY FEB. 15!
• Submit a short video pitch by March 15.
• Finalist teams will pitch their concept to Ag Springboard judges on April 3. Winners will be announced during an awards banquet that evening -- with a really cool keynote speaker like Videon CEO Todd Erdley, who spoke at the Ag Springboard banquet in 2017.
