Do new ideas fire you up? Or do you daydream of creating your own job? Entrepreneurs Make It Happen. They see a solution to a problem, go for it and don't give up. Students have many options to connect with us and explore entrepreneurship. Here are 10.
1. Connect with the Make It Happen student team. Contact E&I student liaison Monica Caldwell, pictured far left.
2. Take a class in entrepreneurship:
- Entrepreneurial Mindset (MGT 215),
- Entrepreneurial Leadership (ENG 310),
- New Venture Creation (MGT 425) and
- Ag Tech Entrepreneurship (AGBM 445)
3. Think about a Minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation
4. Get advice or find a mentor. Contact Dr. Mark Gagnon.
5. During Penn State Startup Week, watch for a student pitch contest, Ag Sci Food Innovation day on March 29 and more skill- and network-building events.
6. Follow @MakeItHappenPennState on Facebook for news and opportunities.
7. Drop into the Happy Valley Launchbox, 224 South Allen St. to check out co-working space, resources for entrepreneurs and so much more.
