"I've walked by a hundred times, and wondered what this little building held, what its story was." Now visitors can find details about the site and schedule a visit to tour the historic site.

A new website, at agsci.psu.edu/calorimeter, will provide a portal for what we know of the story of this instrument and building, in use for research from 1902 thru the 1960s. Over time we hope to assemble images, documents, and narratives related to the Armsby Respiration Calorimeter. Organizing our findings in timeline fashion will help visitors place the work of research and discovery in history, in both scientific and cultural contexts.

We encourage visitors to subscribe to our Calorimeter eNews to receive notice of releases of archival documents and historic photographs as we find them, as well as announcements of events and opportunities to visit.

To schedule a tour, visit https://agsci.psu.edu/calorimeter/visit for details and to make an appointment.
