Important Dates

Here's help with keeping track of timelines and deadlines.

Everything has its season, including admission to the College of Ag Sciences. Here are dates to circle for taking tests like the SAT or ACT, making campus visits, applying for financial aid and scholarships, meeting deadlines for applications such as Early Action, and more.  

High school juniors, take these steps September through July!

• Schedule your SATs or ACTs and talk to your high school counselor about admissions procedures.
• Contact the College of Agricultural Sciences. Get more information about our degree programs and learn how they might be a great fit for your academic and career interests.
• Schedule a visit to the college and see Ag Hill! Plan a personal visit with us for a Monday or Friday during the fall or spring semester, attend an Open House, or participate in Spend a Summer Day in July!

High school seniors, apply starting August 1!

August 1: applications open!

• Submit your application online.
• Apply by November 1 to receive an admissions decision by December 24 (Early Action).
• Apply November 1–30 to receive an admissions decision by January 31 (Priority Filing).

October 1

• FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) becomes available.

October–May

• Admissions decisions begin to roll out.

November 1: College of Agricultural Sciences scholarship application opens.

• Complete our scholarship application by December 31 for early consideration.

December

• FAFSA is due December 1 for early aid awarding. If you complete your FAFSA by this date, you will be part of the early financial aid awarding process that begins in mid-February.
• Early Action applicants receive a decision by December 24.

January

• Priority Filing applicants receive a decision by January 31.

February–April

• Aid packages available for new students. Financial Aid packages become available for accepted students based on when the FAFSA was completed.  
• Accepted students attend an accepted-student program at the campus where they have been admitted. 

May 1: National Acceptance Day!

• Students offered admission need to accept their offer by this date.
