YGA celebrates 20 years of networking to meet future growing and marketing challenges!

The Young Grower Alliance will once again host a luncheon on Tuesday at the Mid-Atlantic Fruit and Vegetable Convention. This year marks 20 years since the YGA began hosting tours and educational sessions. New, current and former young growers are invited to attend! Please contact Don Seifrit (dus970@psu.edu) to sign up.

The speaker for the 2025 YGA luncheon is Dr. Jeffrey Hyde, Associate Dean and Director of Penn State Extension.

We are the Future Faces of Farming! YGA offers educational opportunities for growers taking over the family operation, developing a new enterprise or innovating production practices.

YGA members are looking to connect with others working in a similar profession and living a similar lifestyle. Activities include field trips, orchard tours, workshops, luncheons with guest speakers, and much more—limited by our own creativity! The coalition currently includes over 400 growers from the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. New members are always welcome. If you are interested in joining the Young Grower Alliance, or would like to know more, please contact our coordinator.
