According to the USDA, there are nearly 60,000 high-skilled agriculture job openings expected annually in U.S., yet only 35,000 graduates available to fill them.

From Fox News: Food and ag sectors of the U.S. economy are on pace to generate roughly 54,000 jobs per year for those with degrees in food, renewable energy, and environmental specialties.

According to USA TODAY, enrollment is booming at many colleges of agriculture, as students flock to study subjects they feel offer a clear path to a job on graduation.
