The College of Agricultural Sciences serves as Pennsylvania's flagship university for agricultural innovation, food, fiber, and natural systems transformation, and community vitality. This five-year strategic plan aligns with Penn State's institutional priorities while articulating the College's distinctive character, mission and investments in research excellence, transformational education, and land-grant impact. Guided by eight cross-cutting themes derived from our nine academic departments and Penn State Extension, this plan identifies strategic priorities requiring focused investment and establishes measurable outcomes to track progress toward our vision.

This document is organized around Penn State's strategic goals—enhancing student success, growing (inter)disciplinary research excellence, increasing land-grant impact, fostering access and equity, and transforming internal operations. For each goal, we identify 2–3 strategic investment priorities where the College will concentrate resources over the next five years, along with specific objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and accountable units.
