Jennifer Beidel, partner at Dykema Gossett, has been honored as a 2024 Penn State Alumni Fellow by the Penn State Alumni Association. Beidel is a 2003 graduate of the College of Agricultural Sciences and a 2006 graduate of Penn State Dickinson Law.

"As a first-generation college student, Penn State provided me with opportunities and guidance I could never have imagined,” said Beidel. “It's an honor and a privilege to be chosen as an Alumni Fellow by the University that paved the way for me."

As partner at Dykema Gossett, a 400-lawyer firm, Beidel serves on the Government Investigations and Corporate Compliance Team. She leads global investigative and litigation teams across various industries, including life sciences, healthcare and higher education.

Prior to joining Dykema, Beidel was a partner at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr, where she co-chaired the White-Collar and Government Enforcement Practice group and founded the Agriculture Practice group. Her earlier career includes four years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York.

Beidel has received numerous professional honors, including most recently in The Best Lawyers in America for Criminal Defense — White-Collar. In 2023, she was named a “Future Star” by Benchmark Litigation and was recognized as a Pennsylvania Leading Lawyer by Chambers USA in Litigation—White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations three times from 2021 to 2023.

Beidel remains actively engaged with the Penn State community and received the College of Agricultural Sciences Outstanding Recent Alumni Award in 2011 and is a member of its Armsby Honor Society. She is also a donor, having established the Flinchbaugh Family Trustee Scholarship with her late uncle, Barry Flinchbaugh, and a member of the Penn State Alumni Association.

The Alumni Fellow Award is the most prestigious award given by the Penn State Alumni Association. Since 19873, the award has been given to alumni who, as leaders in their professional fields, are nominated by an academic college and accept an invitation from the President of the University to return to campus to share their expertise with students, faculty and administrators.
