Coaly Society
Coaly Society is the honorary leadership society for College of Agricultural Sciences students who have demonstrated leadership excellence and satisfactory academic performance.
The society’s two main events are running the Guldin Public Speaking Contest and the selection of the Outstanding Senior in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
What does the Coaly Society do?
The Coaly Society hosts several events throughout the year including the Guldin Speaking Contest. The Society also is responsible for organizing the application and interview process for the annual College of Agricultural Sciences Outstanding Student Award.
Who is eligible for initiation into the Coaly Society?
In order to be considered for initiation into the Coaly Society students must:
- hold a leadership position within the College of Agricultural Sciences
- have completed at least one semester at University Park campus
- be at least a fourth semester standing student
- have a minimum GPA of 2.5
Admittance into the Society is based on leadership experience.
Where can I obtain an application?
Applications will be made available during both the fall and spring semesters. The application and all necessary information will be released in the Ag Science Student News emails, and questions or requests for additional information should be directed to the Coaly Society President.
