A process designed to develop and implement a new business model for the college and address budget strategies in order to emerge as a stronger, more agile college well positioned to address the future. This process builds on the college strategic plan, which informs decision making and resource allocation.

After careful deliberation and close consultation with faculty and staff, Dean Bruce McPheron on April 13, 2012, announced department chairs to lead the College's nine reconstituted academic departments.

Penn State Extension Directors Named

The 19 district directors and urban county directors, along with their effective dates, have been announced to begin the implementation of the new administrative structure across the state.

Trustees approve College of Ag Sciences academic restructuring
November 11, 2011
Penn State's Board of Trustees approved the plan submitted by the College of Agricultural Sciences to restructure the college's academic departments, reducing their number from 12 to nine. The new structure formally will take effect July 1, 2012.
