Northeast Regional Collegiate Soil Judging Contest

The Penn State soil judging teams, coached by Mike Callahan, graduate student in soil science, placed fourth overall and third in the group pit competition among 12 teams from seven universities participating in the Northeast Regional Soil Judging Contest, held October 11-12 at the University of Connecticut in Stoors, CT. In the individual competitions, Brian McMullen placed 11th overall and Mike Kochuba placed 15th. Additional members include Tim Daubert, Jeremy Everhart, Rich Mator, Keith Shadle, and Jason Watson.
