It is important to have your Meeting ID when you are joining a Zoom meeting. It's also best if you join via the PSU Zoom site to ensure that you enter with the correct permissions for the meeting. If you receive an invite to a Zoom meeting via email from a PSU colleague, it's still best to follow this How To.

  1. Be sure to have the Meeting ID handy.
      This will ensure that you enter the correct room with the correct level of permission.
  2. Go to
  3. Click Sign In.
  4. If needed, log in using your PSU Access account and authenticate with 2FA.
  5. If prompted, allow Zoom to download and then install the installer file.
  6. Click Join at Meeting at top of screen.
  7. Enter the 9, 10, or 11 Meeting ID number for the meeting you are to attend.
  8. Click Join.
  9. You have two ways to audio in the conference:
    1. If you plan on using the computer mic/speaker, you need to click Join Audio Conference by Computer button in the window presented. This is on the Computer Audio tab.
    2. If you want to join via telephone, click Phone Call tab and use your phone to dial the number provided on the screen. Then click Done.
  10. You should now be in the Zoom meeting.
  11. When you are ready to leave the meeting, you can click Leave Meeting at the bottom right corner OR the Host may end the meeting for you.
