This How To is especially designed for county offices that are using a Print Server.

For a complete list of How To's to add other printers, do a search for "printers" on the How To page.

To add a county networked printer, your computer will need to be connected to the county Extension network or on the Extension staff wireless network of the printer you want to add. Many Extension educators and staff have responsibilities in multiple counties - the printer(s) in each county may be added when you are physically present in the county of the printer(s) you wish to add.

  1. Click the Start button and start typing Control Panel and choose it once it pops up in the search results.
  2. Click on View devices and printers or Devices and printers (Depending what view you are in)
  3. At the top of the window choose Add a printer. The computer will start searching for a printer. Click on the blue text that says The printer that I want isn't listed.
  4. Select the Find a printer in the directory, based on location or feature radio button. Click Next.
  5. In the Find Printers window, type in the first three letters of the county in the Location field. (ex: Leb)
Note: This will help to narrow the search to just your county.
