Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?

I had some great agriculture educators throughout my youth that made a lasting impact on and shaped my life. I wish to be able to create that type of impact on other youth throughout the generations to come. Agriculture is also the backbone of this world, and everyone should at least have a basic understanding of where their food comes from and the effort that it takes to produce it. As an agriculture educator, I hope to contribute meaningfully in this area in the future.

Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?

Hands down the best part about the College of Ag Sciences is the people. The peers you meet in classes and clubs, the amazing teaching faculty, the administrators, and the support staff truly make the college what it is. There is never a day where I do not learn/take away something meaningful from the interactions that I have with folks in the college and that is what has been my favorite part. I will remember the people that I met and the impact that they had on me long after I graduate.

Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?

There is nothing to fear in the unknown. While you may worry about the future and coming to a new, very large campus without knowing many (or any!) peers will undoubtedly be scary, everything will be ok. There are many people here who are cheering you on and rooting for your success whom you have not even met yet. There are friendly faces very excited to help you to maximize your experiences here! Do not worry! If you are ever scared, lost or unsure what to do, there is always someone that knows the answer and is ready and eager to help!
