Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?

I was always interested in the outdoors, and I believe my calling is to be a good steward of the Earth. This interest led me to focus on majors offered by Penn State’s Department of Ecosystem Science and Management. I then chose Forest Ecosystem Management specifically because of the excellent career opportunities.

Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?

My favorite part of the College of Agricultural Sciences is the clubs. I have joined the Penn State Student Chapter of the Society of American Foresters and the Ag Advocates where I have made lots of friends and connections.

Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?

I wish I would have realized the importance of taking care of yourself by sleeping more and eating a better diet.  I also wish I had focused on developing good time management skills right away.
