Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?

Although I have always had an interest in natural resources and engineering, Agricultural and Biorenewable Systems Management was not my first major entering Penn State. It was working with Penn State Extension on emerging technology that inspired me to pursue a program that combines economics, engagement, and systems thinking perspective when designing more sustainable ag, food, and fiber systems.

Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?

My time with Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Ag Sciences has been the highlight of my college experience. Getting the chance to be inspired by so many talented student and alumni innovators has allowed me to learn new perspectives across scientific fields and supply chain areas. Entrepreneurial thinking has also been a skillset that I’ve been able to apply to other areas of study and projects.

Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?

I wish I would have known more about the broad impact of agricultural science and technology across our economy, and how our innovation contributes to each and every one of those areas.
