Rebecca is the lead instructional designer for the Digital Education Team (non-credit). She coordinates the work and processes for instructional designers and multimedia specialists. She works with Penn State Extension educators and leadership to develop strategy for online courses and educational Learn Now videos. She also works with her colleagues in the College of Agricultural Communications and Marketing to facilitate the development and launch of digital education products from start to finish. She presents to educators, faculty, and students on digital product processes, online learning pedagogy and best practices, and digital copyright.

Rebecca presents annually at the Penn State Extension conference. Additionally, she organized and facilitated a presentation and discussion on video effectiveness and best practices at the 2019 Statewide Conference for Watershed Organizations.

Prior to joining the College of Agricultural Sciences in 2015, Rebecca taught English and writing at the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels for 6 years. She also worked in team development and facilitation, environmental education, and adventure programming for over 15 years. Originally from Massachusetts, Rebecca came to Pennsylvania for her Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Park Management from Penn State. She also has a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State.
