Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?
I pursued Animal Science because of my strong background on a farm and raising livestock animals in 4-H. I knew I would be interested in jobs and a future career in animal agriculture.
Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?
The best part has been getting involved in all of the clubs and work experiences available within the college. Ag Sciences offers many clubs and organizations for students to get involved with. Getting involved helped me network with partners in the livestock industry, learn through experiences with real animal production systems, and even connect with younger students who are considering opportunities at Penn State.
Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?
I wish I would have realized going into it how well connected the entire College of Ag Sciences is. This would have helped to quell my anxiety when starting out at Penn State. The College of Ag Sciences makes the university seem so much smaller than it really is.
