Michael Houtz

I am a Multimedia Specialist and creative visionary with a proven track record in delivering captivating visual content. Currently with the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences since August 2016, I have been instrumental in providing input to the college's dynamic marketing and communications initiatives.

I have an extensive background as the owner of Michael Houtz Photography, a venture that I have successfully managed for over 20 years, I have have honed my creative skills as a Photographer, Videographer, and Designer. My expertise extends beyond capturing compelling commercial images and videos; I thrive in translating project goals into visually stunning designs using state-of-the-art equipment and Adobe Creative Suite.

Before joining Penn State, I made significant contributions to organizations such as Penn State Better Kid Care, General Dynamics SATCOM, and Pacific Life Insurance.

At Penn State Better Kid Care, I collaborated with education specialists to produce impactful online videos and educational materials, while showcasing my proficiency in InDesign, HTML, CSS, and Plone.

Educationally, I hold a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, Foothill Ranch, California, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Service from Pennsylvania State University.

I am also a FAA Licensed Drone Pilot and licensed to fly for Penn State.
