Lauren Steinberg

Lauren Steinberg was named the senior director of development in September 2017. With her Development and Alumni Relations Team and in collaboration with volunteers and college leadership, Lauren creates strategies for inspiring philanthropic gifts from alumni and friends of the college.

Lauren's commitment to philanthropy and community service stems from her undergraduate days when she was a member of a national service sorority. Lauren's career in giving began with the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania followed by four years as assistant director in Penn State's Office of Annual Giving. She joined the College of Agricultural Sciences Development Team as associate director of development in 2008.

A Philadelphia native, Lauren holds a bachelor of arts degree in Public Relations and a master's of education degree in Higher Education, both from Penn State. Lauren is a board member at 3 Dots Downtown, a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association, a company member in Happy Valley Improv, the artist behind The State College Home Project, and enjoys traveling, knitting, and most things outdoors. She resides in State College with her partner Bob and cat Willie.
