Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?

At a young age, I was introduced to the agricultural industry through the ownership of a few farm animals. Little did I know that acquiring a few cows, goats, and pigs would spark a lifelong passion for the industry. My experiences within the agricultural industry have shaped me into who I am today, and I decided that I wanted to pursue a degree at Penn State that would provide me with the opportunity to contribute to the industry that has given me so much.

Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?

What I cherish most about my time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences is the opportunity to join clubs. These clubs have helped me build meaningful friendships, develop leadership skills, and expand my professional network within the agricultural industry. Being involved in organizations like these has allowed me to grow personally and professionally, while connecting with people who share the same passions as me.

Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?

When I first began at Penn State, I wish I had known that everyone should have their own unique experience. As a new student, you don’t need to follow a template or be someone's shadow. Each student should make the college experience their own and learn along the way. By doing this, the experience will be more authentic and meaningful.
