Red Yuan is an instructional designer with more than ten years of experience in the field. During the years with Penn State, Red served for TLT and Commonwealth campuses (e.g., Berks and York), and is currently with the College of Agricultural Sciences as an instructional designer. Red works directly with subject matter experts (SME) to design online courses, follow the best practices for instructional design, which include utilizing appropriate instructional technologies to develop course content, and ensuring that learner needs and expectations are factored into the instructional design process to optimize the learner experience. Red works with the team to evaluate, maintain, revise, and update online courses. In addition, Red develops and delivers support or training to educators in workflow processes and instructional technologies for online course development.
In her spare time, Red enjoys Zumba, swimming, and spending time with her family.
Prior to Penn State, Red received her MS in Instructional Technologies from Bloomsburg University and MA in Asian Studies from Seton Hall University.
