Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?

Ever since I was little, I’ve wanted to be an elementary school teacher. It has always been one of my biggest passions. In high school I got heavily involved with FFA and agriculture as a whole and realized I could combine my interests into one. I found a true community in Agricultural and Extension Education. I am excited to continue pursuing this degree with hopes of being an agriculture educator in my own classroom one day.

Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?

So far, the best part of the College of Agricultural Sciences has been the unique opportunities it holds. No matter what your interests are, you can find a group, club, or leadership team to get connected with. Everyone in the College of Ag Sciences has been welcoming and a true inspiration to my future!

Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?

It’s so important to step outside of your comfort zone! Take in each moment and say yes to each opportunity. You never know what connections you will gain or people you will meet. It definitely can be scary at first, which is where I struggled! Penn State can feel so big at times, but you can make it feel small by finding your people and your home.
