Darlene K. Ishler

Darlene leads a team of event management professionals who support the registration website development and event management process for programs offered by Penn State Extension. As Event Registration System and Operations Manager, she maintains her certification in Cvent Event Management Professional Advanced and Account Administrator. Darlene has been at the University for 30+ years and was instrumental in the 2010 implementation of Cvent as Extension's statewide meeting and event management platform. She and her team support the program efforts of educators and faculty, creating, maintaining, and marketing over 1,500 events annually. Darlene and her team are also responsible for developing the curriculum and providing training regarding the technical use of the online registration platform, effective management strategies, and best practices and protocols.
