Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?

Throughout high school, my favorite classes were always agriculture classes. Not only do I have a love for science, but the practical applications of agriculture also inspired me to pursue a higher education and a career in this field. Finding myself torn between various subjects, I decided to major in Agricultural Science to be well rounded and flexible to follow wherever my career takes me after college.

Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?

One of the biggest highlights of my career in the College of Agricultural Sciences is the travel! I have gone on more than five collegiate trips, ranging from Texas to Indiana to Belize, and I am still counting.

Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?

One thing I wish I would have known my first semester as a University Park student is that connections are key. Make as many friends and connections as you can, join clubs and student organizations, and maybe even get involved with research or work at a Penn State Ag Sciences facility. The more involved you are, the more it begins to feel like home.
