The College of Ag Sciences Alumni Society proudly offers $1000 awards to undergraduate students in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Awards are credited to students' accounts at the University.
Eligibility: All full-time baccalaureate students in the College of Agricultural Sciences (and Agricultural and Biological Engineering majors) who have successfully completed an internship for credit that relates to their field of study and/or their post graduation career interests.
Eligible Semesters: Fall 2022 Semester, Spring 2023 Semester, or Summer 2023 Semester.
How to Apply:
- Complete the application form.
- As a part of the application form, a report that is three to five pages, single-spaced, 12 point font with one-inch margins will need to be uploaded to the application. Please include the following discussion points.
- Goals for the internship or what you wanted to gain from the internship.
- Process used to achieve your goals or specific tasks you completed to meet your goals.
- Evaluation of internship goals.
- Were your goals achieved or not achieved?
- How did the internship strengthen your professional skills and interpersonal relationships in professional settings?
- Include an appraisal of the internship as it relates to your interests and career goals.
(Appendices may be included, but judges are not required to review them. An outstanding report will clearly describe the internship; demonstrate personal interest and commitment to meeting internship goals, show an understanding of the experience and how it relates to future career goals). - Have your internship supervisor complete the digital employer evaluation form by following this link.
A PDF version of the employer evaluation will be available upon request.
Selection Committee: The Society's Internship Award Selection Committee will include two members of the College's Scholarship Committee, a representative from the College's Undergraduate Education Office, and a representative of the Society's Board of Directors.
