The Pre-Vet Club allows students interested in veterinary medicine as a career to interact with each other and provides an opportunity to gain information and experiences relevant to veterinary medicine. The club serves to inform members of career options within the animal science and veterinary medicine fields, provide further insight into current veterinary issues, supply members with information concerning veterinary school application and admission procedures, and facilitate interactions between students possessing similar interests and goals. You do not need to be a pre-vet major to be in this club! A mere interest in the field is enough for membership. We meet every other Monday evening during the regular academic year to discuss current and upcoming activities and events as well as to listen to and interact with guest speakers from veterinary schools and hospitals. Recent activities have included coordination of dog shows at the Ag Arena and trips to the annual American Pre-Veterinary Medical Association (APVMA) meeting and nearby veterinary schools.
