Horticulture Club is an organization for all University Park students interested in plants, gardening, and landscaping. It is the goal of the club to educate both its members and the public on the Green Industry as a whole, sound horticultural practices, and new techniques. The largest event that the club conducts throughout the year is its annual Horticulture Show. For this event, the Snider Agricultural Arena on campus is transformed into a full-fledged indoor landscape in which all of the plant material is sold to help fund the club. Other events throughout the year include attending and competing in the annual National Collegiate Landscape Competition, organizing flower sales and plant sales, going on field trips, hearing from guest speakers in the industry, and participating in community service. Meetings are every other Wednesday at 6:00 in Tyson Headhouse I, Classroom 123. Follow the club on Instagram and Facebook for their meeting schedule and to stay up to date!
